Tynan Diaz

TMAA President and NSW Board Member

Tynan Diaz is a highly accomplished professional in the traffic management industry. With over a decade's worth of experience, Tynan is an operational executive who is deeply passionate about road worker safety, operational excellence, and driving positive change through innovation.

Since assuming the role of TMAA NSW Division Chair in 2021, Tynan has played a vital role in advancing the association's goals and objectives. Tynan's efforts are focused on continuously raising the professionalism of the industry while prioritising safer outcomes for all road works and road users.

Tynan is TMAA's President and our NSW Board Member.

Britt O'Dwyer

TMAA Vice President and WA Board Member

With over 15 years of leadership experience in the Traffic Management industry, Britt brings a wealth of safety, operational and IR knowledge to the Board. Britt was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of WARP Traffic Management in 2023 and more recently General Manager with Altus Traffic.

Britt's foremost priorities revolve around spotlighting our industry and its pivotal role in delivering safety services.  She regularly advocates for traffic management personnel to be acknowledged as the safety professionals they truly are, raising awareness among both road workers and users about the importance of their presence.

Britt is TMAA's Vice President, TMAA WA Board representative and the Chair of our WA State division.

Dylan Barker

TMAA Treasurer and SA Board Member

Dylan first started his journey into the traffic control industry in 2015, working as a Traffic Controller out on the road network. Here he gained valuable knowledge and skills on what to expect in the industry. Dylan then transitioned to Traffic Planner, working on multiple projects and major events in South Australia. In 2018, Dylan moved to Victoria and became a Major Projects and Planning Manager, managing traffic management on a large scale. Dylan is now back in South Australia and is Operations Manager for Traffic Group Australia.

Dylan Barker is TMAA's Treasurer,  TMAA SA Board representative and the Vice Chair of our SA State division.

Peter Dixon

TMAA Secretary and TAS Board Member

TMAA TAS Chair Peter Dixon has over 12 years’ experience in road safety from both holding leadership roles in organising special events, and professionally, working with Spectran Traffic. Peter enjoys working with local governments and stakeholders to develop safe solutions and consistency across work sites.

He has a dedication to the safety of the traffic controllers on his sites and the greater public. He is excited by the opportunities opened up by the formal adoption of the harmonised guide to temporary traffic management in Tasmania.

Peter is the TMAA TAS Board representative.

John Cassel

TMAA QLD Board Member

Leveraging 30 years of construction experience, John Cassel was appointed General Manager of the Acquired Awareness group in 2020. A dedicated advocate for the Traffic Management industry for over a decade, John's passion translates into action. He has served as the Vice Chair of TMAA QLD since 2019. John provides strategic direction to ensure the association achieves its long-term goals.

John is a former President and Vice President of TMAA,  TMAA's QLD Board member and the Vice Chair of our QLD State Division.

Chris Boyer

TMAA NT Board Member

Chris Boyer has an industry history of nearly 15 years. He is currently in his second term as TMAA NT Chair. Chris was a founding member of the TMAA NT. While running his family business, TrafficWerx NT, Chris has served also served two terms as TMAA National Secretary and NT board delegate.

His passion is safety for Traffic controllers, road workers and motorists and ensuring everyone makes it home safely. ‘’My goal this term will be to lift the professionalism of the industry through new members, an accreditation scheme, and ensure our current close relationship with our road authorities continues to grow.’’

Stuart Wickens

TMAA VIC Board Member

Stuart Wickens is a highly experienced and results-oriented leader, currently serving as the General Manager at Go Traffic. With a deep understanding of the traffic management industry, Stuart has a proven track record of success in leading and managing complex operations. He is a strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute plans that achieve significant results. Known for building and motivating high-performing teams, Stuart is passionate about traffic management and is committed to delivering the highest quality services and solutions to customers. 

Stuart became Vice Chair of the Victorian division of TMAA in June 2023 and Chair in July 2024.

Matthew Bereni

Chief Executive Officer

Matthew has extensive industry and leadership experience in the public and private sectors in civil and transport engineering. Prior to joining TMAA, Matthew held the role of National Director of Strategy & Innovation with the Australian Road Research Board (ARRB). Matthew’s previous roles included Manager of National Harmonisation at the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) and Manager of Pricing and Economics at the National Transport Commission (NTC). Matthew is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has Honours Masters degrees from ‘École des Ponts ParisTech’ and ‘Ecole Nationale des Travaux Publics de l’Etat’, France and from Imperial College London.

Rebecca Bullock

Membership Engagement Manager

Rebecca joined the TMAA team in 2024. She brings 20 years of experience in stakeholder communication, event management, and business management. Prior to joining TMAA, Rebecca worked as a Program Coordinator for the not-for-profit Road Safety Education Ltd, where she developed a strong passion for road safety and the not-for-profit sector.

Having recently completed her Master of Business (Marketing) and undertaken dissertation research into drink-driving advertising for young regional Australians, Rebecca has a keen interest in improving road safety for all road users.

Thomas Morrissy

Advocacy and Policy Strategist

Thomas joined the TMAA in 2024 as Advocacy and Policy Strategist, bringing expertise and experience from government and consulting. Most recently, Thomas supported government relations activities on behalf of a range of clients across various industry sectors.

Thomas has experience working for a Federal Member of Parliament and Assistant Minister. In this role, he was responsible for research and stakeholder engagement, which involved extensive understanding and effective communication of government policy and was responsible as the primary intermediary between constituents and various government agencies.

Thomas has also worked on two Federal Election campaigns and brings in-depth advocacy experience to advocate on the association’s behalf.

Belinda Dyer

National Accounts Officer

Belinda joined the TMAA team in 2024 as our National Accounts Officer. With over 10 years of experience as a qualified Bookkeeper and BAS Agent, Belinda brings a wealth of accounting and finance knowledge to her role. She has held corporate positions at organisations like PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she gained experience in events, marketing, human resources, and office management.

Most recently, Belinda served as the Executive Officer and Member Support lead for the Australia Indonesia Business Council. At TMAA, she oversees all aspects of accounting and finance operations. Her well-rounded background and expertise inform her work to support the association's growth and success.

Charity Sembrero

Membership Assistant

Charity joined the TMAA team in 2024 as Membership Assistant. Based in Manila, Philippines, Charity Sembrero, brings a passion for enhancing customer experience and developing engaging social media content. With expertise in content creation, quality improvement, and virtual assistance, Charity is dedicated to supporting members behind the scenes, providing comprehensive administrative support to the TMAA team.
